Liverpool’s Biggest Charity Song Contest Returns This October

Liverpool’s largest song contest, Primal Live, is back — and it’s set to take over Invisible Wind Factory on Saturday 25 October, bringing together some of the best local artists for an epic day of live music and fundraising.

Running from 3pm to 9pm, this much-loved event will showcase over 30 acts from across the region, offering everything from rap, reggae and rock to acoustic sets, soul singers and cabaret. Tickets are just £20, giving audiences the chance to experience a full afternoon and evening of top-quality live performances — all while supporting a great cause.

Now in its fifth edition, Primal Live has become the North West’s biggest charity song contest, raising thousands of pounds for The Whitechapel Centre, a Liverpool charity dedicated to helping people affected by homelessness.

Co-organiser Samantha Sampson said: “Primal Live is very special indeed and we’re really proud of what we’ve created. The artists and bands are always top draw and the atmosphere at our events is amazing! Judging by rehearsals, the next event is going to be absolutely incredible too! We’re so excited to be bringing our fifth event back to Liverpool and raising more money for a fantastic local charity.”

The contest follows a seven-week artist development programme, culminating in a thrilling final where the audience helps decide the winner. The top act will take home an impressive prize package including SAE studio recording time, a songwriting course from ICMP, and a tailored Electronic Press Kit (EPK) to boost their career.

With media coverage from BBC North West Tonight, The Liverpool Echo, and NME, Primal Live has built a strong reputation for combining world-class performances with community spirit and a carnival-like atmosphere.
