Food and Drink in Liverpool

Metquarter Food Court, GPO, Opens Its Doors

The Metquarter is currently undergoing a huge overhaul. Once a little bit of an outlier when compared with Liverpool ONE’s shopping scene, it has slowly changed its game and gone for a completely new line up of shops inside its beautiful interior.

The latest addition is the food court GPO, or Global Provisions Outlet, who are based on the 1st floor. You could be forgiven for wondering what all that space was doing beforehand, because if there’s one thing Liverpool is good at, it’s making you question everything you knew about previous locations, and with the size of GPO they’ve got so much more room to play with too!

Filled with seating and booths, the entrance gives way to their champagne bar with the food stalls tucked behind. Of course as the name suggests, you have some brilliant flavours from around the world including Chit ‘n’ Chaat serving up Indian style street food, the Eastern Med style MorMor, Mexican maestros Torito and Scandi-Japanese fusion Konjö. Couple this with a bar flinging out high-quality cocktails and a brilliant mix of beer, wine and soft drinks and you’ve got yourself a perfect evening out!

Never content with that huge choice, they’re soon to be adding more vendors (currently over 400 dishes!) with a Thai vendor and a dedicated sushi/sashimi/sake bar.

In short, what a great selection of food and drinks under one beautiful location bang in the centre of town. What’s not to love?
