The Luna Cinema Returns To St George’s Hall For Festive Film Screenings

The Luna Cinema, is returning to St George’s  Hall in Liverpool with its iconic winter cinema experience, in partnership with heycar, this December for two weeks of feel-good festive film.

St George’s Hall will once again be transformed into a magical festive cinema in which to enjoy a classic film on a giant screen. They’re screening just about every heart-warming, chestnut-roasting, cheesy Christmas classic there is from Elf, to Home Alone, It’s A Wonderful Life to The Muppet’s Christmas Carol, and everything in between!

After two years away, the warm, cosy surroundings of St George’s, right in the heart of Liverpool’s Christmas market, will make the perfect setting for Luna’s big screen to play host to a programme of every great festive film you can think of.

Throw in mulled wine, minced pies, and a stunning festive setting (think twinkly lights and snow dusted trees!) and you’ve got yourself a merry little Christmas.

George Wood, founder of The Luna Cinema, says: “There’s quite simply nothing like watching your favourite festive film to bring on that Christmas feeling.  Everyone has their favourite title – each year I always say I don’t feel like it’s Christmas until I’ve watched Home Alone! We couldn’t be more excited to announce this year’s Luna winter season, and to be returning to St George’s Hall after two years away thanks to the pandemic, will make it even more special.  There’s simply nothing like watching your favourite Christmas film in that unique setting in the heart of Liverpool.”

Charlotte Ford, Head of Brand Marketing & Engagement at heycar, said: “Nothing signals the arrival of the festive season like the sound of those all too familiar Christmas songs on our radios, colourful Christmas lights illuminating dim streets, and our favourite of all, enjoying the festival classics on the big screen with our loved ones, whether that be in a warm cosy indoor cinema or in the comfort of our own car. We at heycar are very excited to be continuing our partnership with The Luna Cinema, we look forward to joining them, and the other Christmas film fanatics, at the big screen for our yearly fix of festive entertainment!”
