Liverpool Independent Freshers Fair Launches This September

A brand-new Liverpool Independent Freshers Fair is set to launch on Tuesday 16 September 2025, giving students the ultimate introduction to everything the city has to offer.

The one-day event, held at Einstein Bier Haus in Concert Square, will showcase the best of Liverpool’s independent restaurants, cafés, bars, clubs, and shops, alongside major national brands. Students can expect exclusive discounts, deals, and plenty of freebies.

From food and drink samples to student-only offers, the fair is designed to help newcomers and returning students make the most of their time in Liverpool. Popular spots such as McCooleys, Soho, La’go, Heaven, and Level will be represented, alongside eateries including The Tavern, The Bagelry, Pocket, Down the Hatch, American Pizza Slice, and Wingstop.

In addition to free food and drinks, there’ll be expert advice available on key student topics such as housing and sexual health. The event also includes a free prize draw with major giveaways including a guitar and amp set-up, widescreen TV, iPad, and £100 cash.

Admission is free on the door from 11am–5pm, with the first 100 students each receiving a goody bag. Students who book free tickets via Eventbrite will also get automatic entry into the £100 cash draw and a queue jump.

The Liverpool Independent Freshers Fair is open to all higher education students across the city region, whether studying at the University of Liverpool, LJMU, Hope University, LIPA, LMA, or Edge Hill.
