KEEF – Only Human Single Review

EEF is the modus operandi of Mike Juvenile, whose base of operations is Widnes / Runcorn, an area with a rich musical pedigree, boasting such influential bands as Wake Up Africa and Jane Weaver, as well as Great and Lady Soul, Zen Baseball Bat, Halfway To Eddies. Latterly The Racket have taken up the mantle, and based on this offering KEEF will soon be standing shoulder to shoulder with them.

Only Human is anthemic, reminiscent of the early nineties shoe-gazers like Chapterhouse and Slowdive, with a pinch of Coldplay at their most soaring. The video is poignant and thought- provoking, and by being shot in black and white, a certain gravitas is added to the to the composition. The combined effect is that the track shimmers with sensibility.

All proceeds to the The Whitechapel Centre, so get KEEF – Only Human on your playlist now!
