Jonny Taylor Releases Debut Single Walk Along the River
The changing of seasons is a fascinating time of year. A time for leaving things behind whilst simultaneously opening our eyes to new horizons. It is only fitting perhaps that local singer/songwriter Jonny Taylor bursts onto the scene with his first single Walk Along the River to water down your summer rue and embrace the next journey ahead.Â
Walk Along the River is a track heard best whilst on the go. It’s a song for the canvas pounders and window starers. It has a spirit and vigour that soundtracks the journey as you make eyes at the city. The guitars are gnarly and never shirk from the offset. Taylor’s vocals are eclectic and hit every note out the park as we heed a tune for celebrating the overcoming of challenges and finding a sense of purpose and belonging. The melody and structure give a La’s feel to the track for it’s uplifting yet short and punchy nature.Â
Taylor’s music is both self-written and self-produced which on the evidence of Walk Along the River, seems to suit him down to the ground. The middleman cut out as Jonny marks the pathway to his own adventure. All adventures do eventually come to a halt and a guitar solo lands in the final stretch which sees out this one in style, piecing together just shy of three minutes of unrivalled joy and belief.Â
An impressive debut from Jonny Taylor to be released to the masses on 5 November. This single will no doubt heighten anticipation for the release of his EP pencilled in for next Spring.Â
