Things to do in Liverpool

In Conversation – Linda Gold of FunnyBoyz

FunnyBoyz is the ultimate drag party and drag cabaret night out in Liverpool. We caught up with the legendary Linda Gold to find out all about it!

Liverpool Noise: For our readers who don’t know about FunnyBoyz, tell us all about it.

Linda Gold: Funnyboyz is the original Drag Queen Bingo event. Since our launch on 21 April 2021, hundreds of events and bars have tried to copy our format but what makes us unique is our passion. We love entertaining people and our shows, which are a unique four-hour interactive experience involve comedy, music, singing, games and yes…BINGO! We are currently Number One on Trip Advisor for Shows in Liverpool & the Number 1 LGBT venue in Europe according to Travellers Choice.

Liverpool Noise: Your events look like so much fun! Tell us a bit about them.

Linda Gold: Nobody is left out, we have endless opportunities to get our audience on stage, whether it be a twerk off competition or a lip sync battle! Everybody gets their moment to shine and if they are a bit too shy, they can simply mingle and have a gossip with the queens walking around the room.

Liverpool Noise: As we all know Liverpool is hosting the Eurovision Song Contest this year, have you got big plans for that?

Linda Gold: We have loads happening over Eurovision, stars of the show Past and Present, as well as ABBA Tributes 7 DAYS A WEEK! We have brunches and parties around the clock and other than the Eurovision Arena there is nowhere else you want to be other than at Funnyboyz.

Liverpool Noise: What would you say to anyone who is thinking about booking one of your events?

Linda Gold: There is something for everybody, even if you don’t like drag, we offer tribute nights, soul events, or just a quiet meal with the kids. People think we are drag mad haha! But drag is only 2 days a week the rest of the days we have all kinds of fun stuff happening for ALL age groups.
