Pogue Mahone Named One of the UK’s Top Guinness Pubs in New Harp Guide 2026
Beloved Liverpool pub Pogue Mahone is raising a celebratory pint after being named one of the UK’s top Guinness-serving venues in the inaugural Guinness Harp Guide 2026. The Seel Street institution is one of just 35 pubs across Great Britain selected for the prestigious list.
Chosen through social listening, the passionate Guinness community and consistently exceptional service, Pogue Mahone stood out thanks to its famously perfect pints, warm atmosphere and packed weekly programme — including live music seven days a week, screenings of major sporting events, a strong craft beer offering and freshly made pizza.
The accolade is a significant milestone for the team and for DGB Hospitality, which owns the venue. As part of the honour, two representatives will head to London in January 2026 for The Guinness Harp Guide Conference at Open Gate Brewery, where they’ll enjoy brewery tours, industry talks and training sessions from leaders including Meta and Google.
Sean Singleton of DGB Hospitality said: “We couldn’t be prouder of the team at Pogue’s whose tireless work – and of course serving outstanding Guinness – has got our venue into the prestigious Guinness Harp Guide 2026. We know we’ve got one of the region’s best proper old pubs… a true institution for locals and tourists alike.”
DGB Hospitality continues to make its mark across the city with its growing collection of successful venues, including Petit Café du Coins, Gloria’s, Motel, Teddy’s, Three Piggies and Loretta’s.
