Everton And Castore Reveal 2024/25 Away Kit Inspired By Goodison Under The Lights
Everton’s new away kit – revealed today – will see the Blues take the spirit of Goodison Park on the road.
The black and yellow strip – the second to be launched by Everton and new Technical Partner Castore – takes inspiration from the famous atmospheric nights that have played out under the glow of the stadium’s floodlights. Â
It is available online at evertondirect.com from today and in store at Everton One and Everton Two from Thursday (1 August). Â
From the 1985 European Cup Winners’ Cup semi-final against Bayern Munich, to a bullet Duncan Ferguson header against Manchester United that shook the Gwladys Street and last season’s unforgettable 2-0 derby win over Liverpool, a floodlit Goodison has time and again provided the stage for some of the most iconic moments in Everton history.
And imitating light through a contemporary geometric pattern, eye-catching yellow collar and sock trims, and a bold yellow Prince Rupert’s Tower icon, the away offering is the latest in a series of Castore kits for 2024/25 that find different ways of paying homage to the Grand Old Lady in the stadium’s final season.
The accompanying away goalkeeper strip – designed with short-sleeves – is a vibrant turquoise, with a striking beige and green pattern and matching turquoise shorts and socks.
Evertonians will not need to wait long to see the kit in action, with the new look to make its debut when Sean Dyche’s Men’s Senior Team travel to Coventry City for their third pre-season friendly of the summer this evening (kick-off 7.45pm) – a game that can be streamed live on evertonfc.com.
Like the home kit, Pro and Replica versions of the away strip are available in adult sizes, allowing supporters to choose the style that best suits their needs.
Pro kits, identical to the ones worn by players and available in adult men’s and women’s sizes only, incorporate cutting-edge Castore technology that aims to provide comfort and aid the pursuit of peak sporting performance. Replica kits are non-textured, with enhanced intricate detailing, including a woven applique Tower icon and Castore logo, allowing the kit to be worn for leisure, as well as casual sports.Â
Replica kits are also available in baby, infant, junior and women’s sizes.
Blues winger Dwight McNeil, who took part in the away kit photoshoot, said: “I think it’s great that the away kit is inspired by Goodison under lights and some of the great night games that have taken place there.Â
“I’ve experienced what it’s like both as a visiting player and with the fans behind you and it’s true that the floodlights seem to bring out the best in the atmosphere, in us as players, and it’s when Goodison is truly at its best. You also hear stories all the time about some of the great night games that have happened at the stadium down the years and the meaning of them. Â
“It’s a smart kit and hopefully we can take some of that Goodison atmosphere and spirit with us wherever we’re playing.”Â
New training, leisure and travel wear will also become available as part of the away kit launch.
