Delifonseca Launches Food & Drink Events To Encourage Local Support
Delifonseca Dockside is launching a series of food and drink events aimed at encouraging more people to visit and support them.
Having recently celebrated its 14th birthday, the award-winning Brunswick Way eatery and deli has been serving the community since opening in 2010. Known for its commitment to quality food and drink, Delifonseca, like many in the hospitality industry, is feeling the pressure of rising costs.
To help keep the business moving forward, the restaurant arm of the business is rolling out a variety of themed evenings designed to give diners something new and exciting to enjoy.
Running from mid-September through to December, the events, which will be led by Delifonseca’s experienced team and guest experts from across the country, will include everything from spice-themed evenings to wine and food pairings, offering something for every taste.
Upcoming events include a Portuguese Wine & Food Night, a Champagne Tasting Night and an Oktoberfest-themed food and beer evening.
“We know times are challenging for everyone, but we’ve always relied on the support of our local customers,” says Candice Fonseca, proprietor of Delifonseca. “After 14 years, we’re proud of how far we’ve come, but we’ve had to adapt to keep things going, especially after expanding the restaurant right in the middle of lockdown. We’ve always run events, but now we’re increasing the number and variety to appeal to even more people. It’s all about offering something different while still giving diners a great experience.”
In addition to the upcoming events, the restaurant is offering special group bookings for celebrations, with complimentary birthday cakes for parties of eight or more who book a three-course meal on a Friday or Saturday.
Candice added: “With plenty of space and a welcoming atmosphere, we really are inviting everyone – whether you’re a regular or a first-time visitor – to join us for these events. Even though we’ve been in business for nearly two decades, with a few national awards under our belts, there are still plenty of people who don’t know who we are.
“For us to keep going, we need to reach those people and show them what we offer. That’s why we’re focusing on filling our calendar and finding new ways to connect with a wider audience. It’s all about making sure we stay relevant and continue to grow, especially in these tough times.”
