Euan Blackman Falls Headfirst Into Love on New Single ‘Piece of My Heart’
Euan Blackman’s new single Piece of My Heart is closing out summer on a high. The Liverpool-based artist’s latest work is promising and wistful as it captures the rush of falling headfirst into a new relationship.
Focused on creating powerful, narrative-driven music while keeping it light-hearted, Blackman’s Indie Pop sound is constantly evolving. As a rising artist across the North West, he’s already racked up an impressive discography, with hit single Forgive propelling him into the limelight. 2026 has been a whirlwind of a year for Blackman, with the release of Wildcard in January, an upbeat, introspective EP that follows identifiable experiences that connect deeply with listeners. Discussing the inspiration behind the track, Blackman says: “I was listening to a lot of great soul music while recording this – Sly & The Family Stone, The Neville Brothers – and I think some of those drum and guitar sounds made their way into the production.” These influences are recognisable in the single’s composition, notably the drums that drive the song and reflect the intensity of being in the early stages of a relationship.
The single dives headfirst into the chorus, hooking listeners in with a catchy melody and nostalgic tone.
