If you love the sound of music, then this is the note for you. Bowring Park is set to host its first ever music festival this weekend, with a packed day of live performances, family activities and local businesses planned. The festival is a free event bringing together performers from across Knowsley and the wider Liverpool City Region.
Supported by Better Youth Spaces, the event aims to create more opportunities for young people to get involved in creative activities and experiences close to home. The festival will make use of Bowring Park’s new outdoor stage, giving local musicians and young performers the chance to showcase their talents to the community.
Oisin Hennessy, director of OneDay Leisure, which operates Bowring Park, said: “We want Bowring Park to be somewhere people can come together and enjoy the talent that exists right on their doorstep, and this festival is a great example of that. There is so much creativity in Knowsley and across the local area, particularly among young people, and we want the park to provide a platform for people to be seen and celebrated. From children getting up on stage in the morning to live bands playing into the evening, alongside local traders, food, drink and activities around the park, we want there to be something for everyone.”
The Bowring Park Music Festival takes place on Saturday 29 August 2026, with activities beginning at 10.30am. More details can be found here.
