Team Behind Bongo’s Bingo Launch Liverpool Singles Event To Take on Dating App Fatigue
The team behind the globally successful Bongo’s Bingo is bringing its signature mix of fun, chaos and audience participation to the world of dating with the launch of Pick N Mix, a brand-new singles social night taking place at Content Liverpool on Saturday 9 August.
Created in response to what organisers describe as growing “dating app fatigue”, Pick N Mix has been designed for people who are tired of endless swiping on apps and the classic speed dating event. Instead, the event promises a twist on the speed dating you’re already used to.
Rather than sitting opposite strangers answering the same questions over and over you can expect things such as; live blind dates, chances to win fully paid first dates, couples karaoke, interactive games and a giant wedding-style disco to round off the evening. Whether you’re looking for romance, new friends or simply a brilliant night out, the emphasis is firmly on having fun first.
Open to adults aged 18 and over, Pick N Mix welcomes people of all ages, backgrounds and sexual orientations. Guests are encouraged to come on their own or bring friends along, with no pressure to take part in any of the activities unless they want to.
Host Chris Mac said: “People are exhausted by dating apps. We’ve spoken to loads of singles who are fed up with them and trying to make awkward small talk with complete strangers. We wanted to create something completely different.
“Traditional singles events can sometimes feel like interviews, so we’ve turned the whole idea on its head. At Pick N Mix, people laugh first and worry about romance later. Even if you don’t meet the love of your life, you’ll leave having had a boss night.
“It’s for absolutely everyone. Bring your mates, come on your own, join in as much or as little as you like. The whole point is to get people making genuine connections in real life again.”
Having transformed the traditional game of bingo into an internationally recognised entertainment brand, the team behind Bongo’s Bingo now hopes Pick N Mix will reinvent the singles night.
With live audience participation, couples karaoke, blind dates and a packed dancefloor, Pick N Mix promises a memorable experience and another chance at romance.
