Liverpool’s Say It With Celebrates a Decade of Jewellery Success

£40 Million success story for two ladies from Liverpool.

What started as a conversation between two new mums over lunch has grown into one of Liverpool’s biggest retail success stories.

This July, Liverpool-founded jewellery brand Say It With celebrates its 10th anniversary, marking a decade of remarkable growth that has seen the company evolve from a small dining-table venture into a multimillion-pound business with a national presence.

Founded by Charlotte Donoghue and Steph Porter, the business was born from a simple idea. Looking for a way to earn extra income while raising young families, the pair combined their love of jewellery with entrepreneurial ambition and launched what was then known as Say It With Diamonds.

Starting with just a handful of products, the duo invested their own time and resources into building the brand, handling everything from marketing and sales to customer service. Through determination, long hours and plenty of hard work, the business steadily grew into the retail success it is today.

Now rebranded as Say It With, the company generates more than £5 million in annual revenue and is estimated to be worth tens of millions of pounds. Alongside its flagship Liverpool store, the brand has expanded through partnerships with major retailers including Matalan and Debenhams, bringing its jewellery collections to customers across the UK.

Speaking about the milestone, co-founder Charlotte Donoghue said: “I am so proud of what we have achieved, the amazing team we have in place and how fabulous our customers are. I can’t wait to see where the next ten years takes us!”

As the business has grown, it has also evolved to serve different areas of the jewellery market. The company now operates through two distinct brands. Say It With Diamonds focuses on fine jewellery, natural diamonds, bespoke commissions and wedding jewellery, while Say It With offers lab-grown diamonds alongside personalised, fashion and men’s jewellery collections.

The brand’s success has been driven in part by its strong social media presence and influencer partnerships, helping it build a loyal customer base while maintaining a reputation for accessible, stylish jewellery and excellent customer service.

The anniversary year has already seen the launch of several new collections, with many selling out shortly after release. The continued demand reflects the close relationship Charlotte and Steph have built with their customers over the past decade and their ability to stay connected to changing tastes and trends.

Ten years on from that first lunch meeting, Say It With stands as a powerful example of Liverpool entrepreneurship, proving how a simple idea, backed by determination and creativity, can grow into a nationally recognised brand.
