Fun Things to do in Liverpool

The Big Bakes Hosts Family Bakes for October Half Term

Liverpool families are in for a sweet treat this October half term as The Big Bakes, the UK’s award-winning, hands-on baking experience, arrives in the city with its fun-filled Little Monsters Family Bakes.

Running on 29th, 30th and 31st October, these special daytime sessions are designed especially for families to roll up their sleeves and get creative together. Expect silly faces, googly eyes, colourful icing and plenty of messy fun, with Head Bakers on hand to guide you through every step.

Each 90-minute session sees families bake in pairs (one adult and one under-18), racing against the clock to mix, decorate and impress the judges before one winning duo is crowned champions. With all ingredients, tools and aprons provided, all that’s needed is a sprinkle of imagination.

Tickets are priced from £39.99 per person, making it an exciting new half-term activity for families looking for something different.

Eloise Frank, Co-Founder of The Big Bakes, said: “We love seeing families get stuck in together, and this bake is all about messy fun, bright colours, and big smiles. It’s proof that baking doesn’t have to be perfect – it just has to be fun (and delicious, of course!).”

The Big Bakes has become the nation’s favourite baking experience since launching as a pop-up in 2017. Already established in London, Birmingham and Manchester, Liverpool will welcome its own baking tent in October 2025, making these Little Monsters Bakes an exciting preview of what’s to come.
