Behind Closed Doors Bar Lets You Call Other Tables — Opens This Friday
Liverpool’s nightlife is about to get even more playful as Behind Closed Doors — the risqué cocktail bar with a vintage erotica twist — opens on Colquitt Street this Friday, 12 September.
Already a hit in Manchester and Leeds, the bar is famous for its cheeky cocktails, plush 70s-inspired interiors, and its unique table phones that allow guests to call — and flirt with — fellow revellers across the room.
The new Liverpool venue promises dark, decadent décor, plush booths for groups of four to six, and larger party spots in the Mayfair Suite and Disco Room, perfect for celebrations of up to 30 people. Music lovers can expect a soundtrack of boogie, funk and soul, while drinks range from classic cocktails to the bar’s naughtier creations.

A signature feature is the DJ booth — built entirely from old trolleys — keeping the party alive until the early hours. The bar will be open Wednesday to Sunday, closing at 3am midweek and 4am on weekends.
Nick Parr, Director of Behind Closed Doors, said:“We’re so excited to open our doors in Liverpool. Complete with our signature features including the DJ booth and telephones, as well as some new additions, our Liverpool bar is equal parts sex, rugs, funk and soul. We can’t wait to welcome everyone to celebrate this weekend.”
To mark the launch, Behind Closed Doors is running a huge Instagram competition with prizes including:
- A trip to Amsterdam for four*
- Private hire of the Liverpool bar with a £500 bar tab
- Booth packages with £50 bar tabs for ten lucky winners
Entries close on 30 September, with winners announced on 3 October. *Trip based on average flight and hotel prices.
Bookings for booths, the Mayfair Suite and Disco Room can be made via the Behind Closed Doors website.
