The British Fashion Council Announces Liverpool Celebration Programme For London Fashion Week
The British Fashion Council (BFC) has announced that its City-Wide Celebration (CWC), presented by 1664 Blanc, will return this September with an expanded programme across Liverpool, London, Manchester and Newcastle.
Running from Friday 5th to Sunday 7th September, Liverpool’s celebrations will centre around Liverpool ONE, transforming the city into a hub of fashion, culture, and creativity. CWC brings together designers, retailers, cultural institutions and hospitality venues to deliver more than 1,000 experiences nationwide, offering the public unique opportunities to engage with fashion beyond the catwalk.
Liverpool’s highlight will be the sold-out ‘At Home With’ talk on Saturday 6th September at Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen & Bar, featuring renowned designers Patrick McDowell, S.S. Daley and Talia Byre in conversation with curator and activist Andrew Ibi. The discussion will explore how geography and culture shape British fashion talent.

This stunning showcase brings together a collection of Vivienne Westwood’s revolutionary designs, from her punk beginnings to her status as a British fashion icon. Located in the Craft & Design Gallery, the display features key pieces from Westwood’s most influential collections, including rare items from her collaborations with Malcolm McLaren during the early 1980s. Visitors will discover how Westwood’s creative vision evolved from the punk aesthetic of their Kings Road shop SEX to her later explorations of historical dress, global cultures, and classic British tailoring.
