Sefton Collection Expands in Wolstenholme Square With £500k Investment

Liverpool-based hospitality group Sefton Collection is set to expand its presence in Wolstenholme Square, investing over £500,000 into the area with the opening of a third venue, Baby Clubhouse, at the end of March. A fourth venue is also planned for later in the summer, further solidifying their commitment to the city’s thriving hospitality and events sector.

Sefton Collection already operates the popular Irish sports bar Dicey Reilly’s and the versatile event space Clubhouse. The new addition, Baby Clubhouse, will serve as a more intimate event space designed to complement the existing offerings. The expansion will also create more than 10 new jobs within the Sefton Collection team.

Baby Clubhouse spans 150 square meters and has undergone a £150,000 transformation. The venue is designed to accommodate a range of event sizes, from small gatherings of 10 guests to larger functions, seating 100 for dining and 120 standing. Guests will enjoy a high-end experience with a fully licensed four-meter black quartz bar, a modern fitted kitchen, and luxurious marble guest toilet facilities accented with brass detailing. The venue also features floor-to-ceiling windows with stylish dressings, contemporary ice chairs, warm neutral tones, walnut finishes, fluted paneling, chevron flooring, opal effect tiling, and a state-of-the-art sound system with disco lighting.

The Clubhouse, which opened in mid-2024, offers a larger space for up to 240 standing guests, 150 seated on the ground floor, and various seating arrangements including theatre, classroom, and boardroom styles. It is equipped with large moveable screens and a premium sound system. Baby Clubhouse can be booked independently or as an extension of The Clubhouse, allowing guests to tailor events to their specific needs.

Both venues have been purpose-built under the Ropewalks Hotel brand, operated by Sefton Collection. Dicey Reilly’s, which launched alongside The Clubhouse, has already established itself as a go-to destination for sports fans, featuring four private booths, ten screens, a giant screen, and high-definition surround sound.

With all bookings managed by Ropewalks Hotels’ highly trained operations team, the venues cater to a variety of events, from weddings and corporate conferences to book launches, birthday celebrations, and more. The ability to mix and match spaces provides guests with unparalleled flexibility and sophistication in event planning.

Sefton Collection CEO Conor O’Donovan commented on the investment, stating: “Whilst our investment into Wolstenholme Square currently stands at over half a million pounds, we already have exciting plans for a fourth site later this year. We have designed The Clubhouse and Baby Clubhouse with versatility, style, and elegance in mind, ensuring we can meet the needs of our guests, whether for a function, event, party, or celebration.”

Baby Clubhouse is scheduled to open on March 31, 2025. For further details or inquiries, contact [email protected] or call 0151 665 0510.
