Step Into the Spirit of Christmas at the Iconic Royal Liver Building
If you’ve ever bought a Christmas card depicting Liverpool, there’s a good chance it featured The Royal Liver Building. Now, on 2 December you are invited to step inside the building and have your very own special Christmas experience.
The team at the iconic location have selected a collection of artisans from around the city who’ll all be selling gifts for the festive season. There will be treats such as cakes, honey and cheese as well as clothes, doggie treats and much more.
The Building has hosted a range of events this year, including the first ever exhibition by Paul Curtis and if you visit on 2 December you will see the mural he did during that time. Next to that piece is a painting by Vicki Mansley, who recently held her first exhibition in the atrium and she will be in attendance on the day selling art and taking commissions.
No Christmas celebration would be complete without a little music and that will be provided by two choirs who’ll be singing seasonal songs to get us all in the festive spirit. Visitors will also be treated to mulled wine and mince pies. What better way to start the month of December in style?
Laura Clarke, part of the management team who runs the building has gone to great lengths to make sure the day is one to be remembered. Laura said, “We’ve gone all out to make this memorable for all. The trees are all decorated and if you’ve never been inside the building, this will be a very special day for your first visit”.
The event is completely free and runs from 11.30am – 2pm for one day only on the 2 December. The building is completely accessible with a ramped entrance at the riverside doors facing the pier head.
