Alternative To The Christmas Roast: 12 Days of Christmas Burgers At Tempest On Tithebarn

Tempest on Tithebarn always likes to do things a bit differently and Christmas is no exception.

Indeed, whisper it quietly, but Iain Hoskins and his team have arguably got the city’s best alternative Christmas roast offering – The 12 Days Of Christmas Burgers – with plenty of succulent sides too, available from Tuesday 12 November.

Embracing the festive magic with full gusto, at the heart of Tempest’s Christmas menu are twelve mouth-watering burgers, from A Partridge In A Pear Tree’s delicious Tempest honey glazed pork belly, sage and onion stuffing, pork crackling, pear and apple sauce, to Four Calling Birds’ Beef patty, crispy bacon topped with a goat cheese wheel, cranberry sauce and served with a side of rich dipping gravy.

Or there’s Eight Maids Are Milking which features grilled halloumi drizzled with Tempest’s honey, topped with roasted red peppers and spiced cranberry sauce, to Eleven Pipers Piping with a bubble and squeak patty topped with slow cooked beef brisket, and a pig in blanket served with a side of rich dipping gravy. And don’t forget their wonderful sides, loaded fries, desserts and more to complete Christmas.

And back by popular demand is the Grinch Bottomless Brunch. Welcome to the most festive bottomless brunch with 90 minutes of unlimited Christmas drinks and a brunch dish, lots of party games and Christmas cheer hosted by the mischievous green menace. Dates are Saturday 30 November, Saturday 7 December and Saturday 14 December at £40 per person.

And Tempest’s Christmas Cocktail Masterclass also returns – perfect for get-togethers with friends or colleagues to hone up handy cocktail skills ready for Christmas. This is for groups up to 25 people and includes three cocktails with a welcome drink for a 2-hour class for £35.00 per person. It can be paired with a bottomless brunch for £60.00 per person.

Iain Hoskins, Ma Pub Group’s director, says: “Christmas is all about fun at Tempest on Tithebarn. This year we’ve fully embraced burgers as our core offering, so it makes perfect sense to take this one step further with our most creative selection of burgers ever – all twelve of them! We’ve got some cracking festive specials and unique Tempest creations with something for everyone to make Christmas really special, whether it’s a small group or large, and for those wanting something a bit different to the traditional festive fayre.”

Tempest on Tithebarn pays homage loving to New York’s meatpacking district eateries, with stone walls, bare wood with lots of natural lighting in the ground-floor open plan restaurant and bar. There’s an intimate subterranean club space with huge potential for parties, to one of the city’s best roof-top views. Tempest even has its own colony of bees, whose honey is used in the restaurant and some of this year’s festive dishes.
