A chic new Italian restaurant, Cicchetti, has opened on a bustling road in Crosby offering freshly-prepared breakfasts, lunches and dinner.
Cicchetti specialises in Italian small, and medium size plates, offering visitors a varied menu of Mediterranean favourites from classic lasagne, carbonara to a variety of meat, fish and vegan dishes.
There’s also a breakfast and brunch menu including a selection of classic like eggs benedict, steak sandwich waffles, crepes, avocado on sourdough, muffins and more.
Founded by the same owners behind veteran establishments Cantinetta and Franchetti, also based in Crosby, the intimate venue has set up shop in the fast-growing Liverpool Road Studios.
The ultra-sophisticated and contemporary space is home to a number of freelancers and businesses, offering a hub of creative activity while still being warm, inviting and laidback.
The team behind Cicchetti were keen to evoke a sense of calm within the restaurant, which has been achieved with neutral décor complemented by industrial elements like exposed metal beams and chunky light fixtures.
These strong elements have been juxtaposed with intimate tables flanked by coloured chairs and comfortable bench seating along the length of one wall. The floor to ceiling windows allow natural light to pour in, with the owners hopeful people of all ages and backgrounds will feel at home in the venue.
A Cicchetti spokesperson said: “Cicchetti is the third Italian restaurant we’ve opened in Crosby and we really hope people will love it.
“It’s always been the team’s dream to introduce the concept of Cicchetti – Italian small and medium plates – to the people of Merseyside and now it’s a reality.
“We’re so passionate about authentic Italian food so we make sure dishes are freshly prepared to order so people get the best of the best. It’s a serene setting – parents can come in after the school run, workers can stop by on their lunch breaks, friends can catch up over dinner.
“We want to be a welcoming space for all because we’re so proud of our food and what we do, and we just want everyone to experience it.”
Cicchetti can be found at 113b Liverpool Road, Crosby, L23 5TD. It’s open Monday to Saturday from 9.30am until 11pm, with last food orders taken at 9.30pm.
