Delifonseca Prepare For Eggciting Weekend of Easter Eating
Delifonseca Dockside on Liverpool’s waterfront is set to have a cracking Easter weekend with a traditional menu for diners and a well-stocked deli and food hall.
The Brunswick Way restaurant is serving a fish focused menu on Good Friday followed by a traditional Easter Sunday roast with Delifonseca’s Spring lamb and beef rump roast taking centre stage. The mouth-watering menu offers the perfect excuse to get the family together and enjoy some of Delifonseca’s very best produce.
Proprietor Candice Fonseca said: “For us, Easter is always a positive time of the year. The days are getting sunnier, and the nights are getting brighter, and it’s an opportunity for us re-think our menus and introduce some spring ingredients into our cooking and deli.
“We have a reputation for taking our fish offering seriously and this Good Friday we are going all out with dishes such as pan-fried hake with a saffron broth, roasted courgette, tender stem broccoli and crispy potatoes, and our stonebass fillet with grilled asparagus, roasted new potatoes, pickled walnuts and wild garlic gremolata. Our Easter Sunday roasts continue to reign supreme with lovely lamb and roast beef rump topping the bill. This year, the chefs have been getting creative in the kitchen and constructed a special Easter sharing platter featuring a classic deli scotch egg and not to mention our annual Easter Sunday Sundae.”
Alongside the dining offering in the award-winning restaurant, Delifonseca’s food hall is packed with a range of egg-cellent goodies, including Easter eggs and chocolate delights from the likes of Monty Bojangles and Tony’s Chocolonely, as well as vegan treats.
The Easter celebrations will begin early on Thursday, when Neve and Sons will suitably take up their resident spot outside of Delifonseca’s food hall selling fresh, locally sourced fish from their mobile shop.
For those looking to cook at home, Delifonseca’s long established in-house butchers, Edge and Son will have the best locally reared lamb, beef and pork joints.
Candice added: “After a busy long weekend of Easter activities, we want to be that home away from home where people can enjoy a traditional dinner in the comfort of our restaurant, and if venturing out isn’t your style, we have a host of Easter sweet treats in the Deli.”
