Liverpool’s Italian Quarter Welcomes New Restaurant Hey Farina

The city’s popular Italian Quarter is welcoming a new venue to its ever-growing food and drink portfolio in the form of Hey Farina.

Located in the heart of Williamson Square, the site will be open seven days a week and specialise in all things flour as the name suggests. It will serve diners authentic pasta, salads, focaccia and baked goods, and stand proudly alongside the city’s popular P&D Deli, which is led by experienced hospitality expert Donato Cillo.

He said: “We are so proud to showcase our culture and cuisine in a city that is bursting with incredible food and an extremely supportive community. Hey Farina is our twist on modern Italian dining whilst using quality produce and ingredients in a variety of regional recipes.

“Our family really does have a real passion for all things food, and we put our hearts into everything we craft. For us, it’s all about creating a true Italian experience. From the moment you step through the door, you will be transported straight into Italy with an authentic atmosphere accompanied by truly Italian music.”

The family run business is a collection of independent eateries and retailers run by Italian family, known as The Cillos, and consists of seven leading businesses spread over four floors to create the ultimate experience for food connoisseurs.

Headed by husband and wife duo Carmine Cillo and Antonella Bovino, Hey Farina offers a relaxed and inviting space to enjoy a casual bite to eat, with an impressive choice of vegan and gluten free dishes, accompanied with a host of classic Italian cocktails, beers, wines and spirits, as well as a selection of soft drinks.

Donato added: “We have been building our Italian Quarter for more than 10 years now and we are so happy to finally share with you the next part of our story and to say thank you to our loyal customers for supporting us throughout.

“Whether you fancy a home-baked focaccia, a board with meats and cheese paired with authentic Italian wine, or a hearty bowl of traditional fresh pasta, we’ve got your covered. We really are delivering an offering that covers the breadth and length of the Italian food map. We are positioning ourselves as an adaptable venue which provides a comfortable spot for a quick bite of lunch, and in the evening transforms into a contemporary Italian dining destination.

“Our staff originate from all over Italy, so we have a wealth of knowledge when it comes to regional and seasonal traditions, which we mirror throughout all corners of our business – it’s what makes us.”
