Tempest On Tithebarn and Nova Scotia Announce Christmas Menus
Tempest on Tithebarn and Nova Scotia are proud to announce their Small Plates, Big Christmas Menu for the forthcoming festive season, with both now bookable from Monday 14 November to Thursday 22 December.
Whilst a handful of classics from last year are returning, including pigs in blankets, veggie sleeping bags and sticky toffee pudding, the Christmas menu features an abundance of brand new dishes including petite beef Wellington, halloumi winter logs, crispy pork belly, gambas, caramelised onion parcels, honey and rosemary baked camembert and lemon and herb seabass.
Iain Hoskins, Ma Pub Group’s director, says: “We are really looking forward to Christmas at our newest venues. It’s going to be bigger and better for everyone and this really feels like the first proper festive season for two years. At both locations we are all about big social groups to intimate gatherings and are able to cater for all sorts of festive celebrations. It’s great that already the excitement is building for this Christmas – we can feel it with the bookings and enquiries already coming in. We’ve pretty much started from scratch with a range of brand new small plates. They all have festive twists and we feel there’s lots of choice in our mains, plus delicious sides and puddings and of course we have our cocktails, wines, beers and much more.”
Set in the stunning Mann Island building in the shadow of the World Museum and the spectacular Three Graces on Liverpool’s iconic waterfront, Nova Scotia captures the city’s maritime past since the site opened at the start of summer 2022. It’s little known that at the end of the 19th century, the Mann Island area was previously a shanty-town called Nova Scotia, made up of dwellings and businesses serving the huge ships when the city boomed as a trade destination.
Tempest on Tithebarn launched in May 2021 and pays homage loving to New York’s meatpacking district eateries, with stone walls and bare wood with lots of natural lighting in the ground-floor open plan restaurant and bar. There’s an intimate subterranean club space with huge potential for parties, to one of the city’s best roof-top views – 10 storeys high – which looks out across Liverpool with incredible views on sunny days. Tempest even has its own colony of bees, whose honey is used in the restaurant.
