Keyside Return With A Fresh Look And A Sold Out Gig

They’re back! Fresh from a very fruitful recording session, Keyside (formerly Keyside Cassidy) return to their home city for a sold out gig at the Kazimier Stockroom on Friday 2 December. After a couple of personnel changes, the band have found their missing link with the addition of Max Gibson on bass guitar. He joins original members Dan Parker, vocals and rhythm guitar, Ben Cassidy, lead guitar and Oisín McAvoy, drums.

The band have always had a loyal live following, and the fact that this gig sold out in a matter of hours surely proves the excitement they generate.

They have an incredible array of songs, instantly likeable and memorable. There are echoes of other Liverpool bands like The La’s and The Coral, but each song is definitively their own. Dan Parker’s lyrics belie his age, and he sings like no one else in the music business. Then there’s the shimmering, hypnotic lead guitar, the thumping yet melodic bass and the driving, rhythmic pitch perfect drums.

In a live setting they come into their own. Throughout time there’s been gigs that set a date in stone. The Clash at the 100 Club, The Jesus and Mary Chain at Camden Electric Ballroom, The Sundays at the Vertigo Club. Everyone who was there remembers where they were. In time, you will remember where you were on Friday 2 December 2022.
