First Look At The Lake House As Doors Open In Waterloo 

Waterloo’s brand-new leisure hub in the heart of Crosby’s Coastal Park has officially opened its doors to the public.

As part of a series of launch events, Steve Rotheram Metro Mayor of Liverpool City Region, Mayor of Sefton Clare Carragher and other invited guests were given the first look around the Lake House’s café and restaurant housed inside Sefton Council’s Crosby Lakeside Adventure Centre, sampling the menu and taking in the stunning lakeside views.

Alongside its hospitality set up the facility also has four conference rooms and event spaces and 14 newly refurbished rooms, adding to its accommodation offering.

While contributing to the area’s economy, led by Sefton Hospitality Operations Ltd (SHOL) and its team of expert hospitality specialists, the venue has also created 70 jobs within the local community with roles such as front of house and General Manager recently filled.

With more than 30 years of experience within hospitality, SHOL’s Chair Kellie Rixon MBE FIH, said: “The Lake House is a destination for everyone to enjoy, from those in the heart of the local community to those visiting from further afield and it’s great to finally be able to welcome people in and show them what we have been working so hard on for so long.

“It’s brilliant to see everything come together and with regeneration at the forefront of this project, it’s time that Waterloo and Sefton’s fantastic coastline got the recognition it deserves and is put on the map as a place to be.”

Led by head chef Matt Cox and General Manager Vicki Hanlon the café and restaurant have an array of food and drink offerings, whether people are looking for a meal with family or a coffee, cake and a catch-up with friends, there’s something for everyone, making it a destination to eat, drink, stay and play for those across the region and beyond.

The Lake House will be open from 11am to 9pm Sunday to Thursday and 11am to 9.30pm Friday and Saturday every week.
