Fiona Lennon releases stunning debut single ‘A Little Longer’
Hailing from Liverpool, Fiona Lennon’s debut single A Little Longer was released on March 12 and what a debut single it is! As the summer months are approaching, this song is the perfect accompaniment. Lennon describes herself as having an eclectic style with her songs containing elements of folk, pop rock and soul.
The track bursts into life with a dreamy guitar riff and Lennon’s beautiful vocals soaring over the top. There is a distinct 90s vibe to the track which I love and it really makes the song stand out. Lennon is influenced by artists such as Fleetwood Mac and Alicia Keys and you can definitely hear their influences in this track.
The chorus is a beautiful combination of clever harmonies, gentle vocals and a fantastic vocal range of Lennon. It brings a stunning and somewhat unexpected change of pace to the rest of the track. Furthermore, Lennon delivers the lyrics with such emotion and longing which really lifts the track. This adds a personal element to the track which allows you to connect with the song.
I think this is a great debut track from Fiona Lennon and I cannot wait to hear more from her in the future!
