Sound City Festival has been cancelled for 2020. Read the full statement from the team below.

The Sound City team has been forced to cancel this year’s event due to the ongoing concerns with the Coronavirus pandemic. The team released the statement below:

We are very sad to say that Sound City 2020 will not be going ahead this year.

We have been faced with many challenges over these strange times and have been working hard to find a way for Sound City to go ahead this September. This is one of the most difficult decisions we have ever had to make and we are heartbroken to have to make it, however with all factors taken into account, we would not be able to deliver Sound City to the level that you, our amazing fans deserve, and we believe it is for the best that we move Sound City to next year where we can work to give everyone an unforgettable festival experience with the very best emerging music.

We are very sorry to everyone who was excited to party with us in September but please do stay with us as we move to 2021. Sound City is an independent festival and could not continue without your overwhelming support. Our new dates are 30th April – 2nd May 2021. We promise to continue doing what we do best by putting on insanely amazing acts from all around the world in incredible venues where you can make unforgettable memories with your favourite people.

If you’re down for our new dates and want to be a part of keeping the spirit of Sound City alive for 2021 then you don’t need to do anything, your tickets are still valid for the new dates. The various prices of tickets will be increasing closer to the time of the festival so we urge you to keep hold of yours if you’re able to. If not, your ticket provider will be in touch with more information regarding refunds.

Once again we really appreciate the support we’ve received, and continue to receive from each and every one of you. We are working around the clock to ensure Sound City 2021 is going to be a major year with a few more tricks up our sleeve.

Thank you everyone for your continued support and love at this time.

All our love,
The Sound City team ❤️

See you in 2021 with announcements coming soon!!

Even though the Sound City Festival has been cancelled for September, The festival is now set to return 30 April – 2 May 2021.
