Jumping onto the music scene earlier this year, Lasso Moon have been slowly teasing more and more details about the men behind the music. With a five-man line-up compromising Bobby Westhead, Tom O’Brien, Dan Allen, Ben Whittingham, and Josh Perry, the Liverpool rockers have given a little taste (pun intended) of what’s to come, with their debut single.
‘A Taste of You’ sets them off in good stead, but is by no means a ‘little’ tune’. The track is quite a nod to classic and anthem rock heavyweights such as Alter Bridge, Shinedown, and Black Stone Cherry, with the singer belting a similar growl. The riff ‘I’m losing you’ brings a punch to the song that makes it irresistibly catchy.

The vocals sit perfectly alongside the grungy instrumentals, wrapping the whole single up with the potential to be a real crowd-pleaser when played live. If this first track is anything to go by, the band can expect to garner quite a loyal rock following when they line up gigs for the future.
In the meantime, we’ll eagerly await the next thrasher from the boys.
