Valentine’s Day Set To Make Diners’ Hearts Skip A Beat Thanks To Delifonseca

One of the city’s most loved restaurants and foodhalls, Delifonseca, has got this Valentine’s Day covered with three ways to show you care this February 14.

The award-winning team is launching their romantically popular Dine at Home offer once again, as well as a special three course set menu in their newly expanded Brunswick Dock space. They’ll also be stocking their shelves with the perfect selections of locally sourced gifts, including a wide range of wines and fizzes, chocolates and more; with the additional option of bespoke hampers, which have specifically been put together with hopeless romantics in mind.

Proprietor Candice Fonseca said: “We’ve never really been convinced that Valentine’s Day is just for couples, so we are on our annual crusade to get everyone to enjoy the day for what it is – a celebration of love and affection. With our three different options available, we think there is something for everyone and what better way to appeal to our customers’ hearts than with great food and drink.”

Food lovers opting to dine at home can expect a starter platter including Mini Chorizos and Charcuterie Roses, a varied choice of mains such as Truffled Mushroom Wellington, and a Seafood Medley to name a few. To top it off, dessert is a Rich Chocolate Fondue Sharing Platter with a selection of delicious dippers

For those choosing to spend the evening at the restaurant, diners will be welcomed by a signature Delifonseca cocktail, the Rhubarb & Rosehip Spritz, before enjoying dishes including Juniper Smoked Duck Breast and Oysters in Mignonette Sauce, Hake Wrapped in Prosciutto or a T-Bone Steak and chunky chips, courtesy of in-house butchers Edge & Son.

Candice added: “Since we’re built on going against the grain, we’ve made sure that our Valentine’s Day caters for other numbers – and not just the traditional two – you really can treat yourself if you fancy. And we’ve also decided to offer our at home menu from the 12th for those who may have to celebrate the occasion earlier on the weekend.”

The Valentine’s Day Menu is available at Delifonseca Dockside from 5pm on the 14th and is priced at £45 per head for three courses. Dine at Home is available from Saturday 12 February until Monday 14 February and is priced £55 for two or £27.50 for one.
