Trotters Dog Fest Coming to Calderstones School This Month

Trotters Dog Fest is a one day event taking place at Calderstones School this month, with competitions, food and drink, dog goody stalls, music and entertainment for kids.

There will be 10 dog competitions, including the likes of cutest pup, best rescue and even a Pride Fancy Dress competition. The winner from each category will go through to Best in Show and win the 2024 trophy and a cash prize.

In the show ring there will be dog demonstrations including a Crufts Flyball captain with his team of dogs and a local dog agility club who will both be getting the attendees and their dogs involved.

Alongside the competitions there will be local live music, dog goody stalls, food & drink vendor’s, including the popular Pizzeria Miki and more. There will also be plenty of things to keep the kids entertained with inflatables and face painting.

Talking about the inspiration behind the event Trotters Dog Fest organiser Tony Smith said: “I started the dog walking business in January 2023 which quickly escalated to training and boarding. This led to the idea of bringing dog lovers together which I’m planning on doing every year, possibly twice a year.

The response I’m getting from everyone is amazing so I know this will be something that everyone can enjoy this year and for years to come as I plan to grow the event year on year.”
