The Karios ‘Time Keeper’ Review

Liverpool’s latest up and coming rock band The Karios have released a new single called Time Keeper

After emerging from a hiatus in February 2022, selling out Hebbie Jebbies with their comeback headline. Since then, they have gone from strength to strength, recently going on tour of the UK and releasing their new single in the meantime.

Time Keeper starts with a captivating guitar riff, then met by pounding drums and bass which kicks the song off nicely. There is almost a nineties feel to this song, through the vocals, and punchy guitar riffs and frontman Tom Dempsey certainly delivers an impressive vocal, reminiscing of past frontman such as Liam Gallagher and Tim Burgess.

The energy is kept throughout the track but most notably the guitar solo is where it reaches its climax, before ending with the repetitive guitar riff.

Described as “Scuzzed up, fuzzed up Scouse Rock n Roll” by Gigslutz, it’s clear why the Karios have gained such a fanbase all over the country, with them touring in cities such as Glasgow, Birmingham, and Manchester.

Time Keeper is certainly The Karios best release to date and is a track that leaves you singing the melody all the way to bed. Already obtaining an impressive musical catalogue, The Karios have cemented their spot in the Liverpool music scene as one of the most talented and exciting bands to come out of the city for years.
