The new single from Liverpool indie popsters The Jackobins is one of their best to date. ‘Hasty’ showcases the excellent vocals of Dominic Bassnett and the undeniable talents of the band as a whole. It is full of danceable energy and a real go-getter of a track. The Jackobins are at their best on tracks like this. While their quieter output is of a high quality, it is on their gutsier numbers where they excel.

‘Hasty’ starts with an almost 80s beat and soon progresses to a full blown anthem with the trademark ear-worm chorus. The quieter section is really exceptional with outstanding vocals, but the whole track is an excellent offering. The indie rock is urgent, pulling you like a whirlwind through the song. The Jackobins are a great band live and this should be a welcome addition to their live act. Surely an album must be on the cards soon for this excellent band.
