The Interesting Eating Company Hosts ‘Flipping Fun’ Competition To Mark Pancake Day

The Interesting Eating Company is getting its frying pans at the ready ahead of Pancake Day and is asking YOU to get involved.

As part of the Liverpool ONE venue’s Pancake Toss Contest, avid flippers will be given the chance to don an apron and grab a pan in an attempt to keep their pancakes in the air for as long as possible.

Director of The Interesting Eating Company Nichola Lee said: “Being renowned across the city for our speciality pancakes, it felt only right to mark Shrove Tuesday with something a bit different.

“We are encouraging both members of the public and local businesses to go ‘flipping crazy’ to see who can attempt to achieve the most pancakes tosses. Of course, we will have plenty of delicious toppings on-hand so that when the competition is over, guests can get creative and make their own tasty treat to tuck into. May the best flipper win!”

With locations on the entrance to St Peter’s Lane and Allerton Road, The Interesting Eating Company is renowned for its speciality pancake offering comprising a selection of sweet and savoury flavours, together with popular gluten-free variations. Savoury pancake options include Chicken and Creamy Mushroom, Ham and Cheese and Smoked Salmon with Rocket and Cream Cheese. Guests with a sweet tooth can enjoy flavours such as Nutella, American Maple Syrup and Bacon, Peanut Butter and Banana and Toffee.

Director Andrea Edwards added: “During the weeks leading up to the competition, our team members have been distributing a number of flyers for the event and already we have seen a great deal of interest. The Pancake Toss Contest is a fantastic opportunity to have some fun and try out our famous pancakes. Don’t forget, your pancake needs YOU!”
