Mercury Winning Artist Talvin Singh Returns To Liverpool This Week For First Show Since 1996

This week, Milap’s Autumn season will conclude at the brand new Tung Auditorium, with a show-stopping performance from Mercury Prize winning percussionist, producer and composer, Talvin Singh OBE.

The performance will mark Singh’s first performance in Liverpool since 1996, when the acclaimed musician took to the stage at The Bluecoat.

The ‘stripped down’ classical show will evoke the mood and feeling of peace; with Singh performing on a range of analogue devices to create beautiful, rich vibrations.

Having won the Mercury Music Price in 1999 for his debut album ‘OK’, Singh’s unique synthesis of electronic music and Eastern aesthetic is often referred to as Asian Underground.

Talvin Singh will play The Tung Auditorium in Liverpool on Friday 18 November. Tickets are available now via the venue’s website.
