Sefton Park Hotel Hosts North West Community Services Awards Ceremony

North West Community Services Awards 1

Sefton Park Hotel played host to the North West Community Services’ inaugural awards ceremony.

Hundreds gathered at the idyllic parkland setting to recognise the achievements of 20 inspirational figures from across the North West.

Presented by the Lord Mayor of Liverpool, Cllr Erica Kemp, awards such as ‘Obtaining and Maintaining Paid Employment’, ‘Working with Independence’ and ‘Overcoming Personal Difficulties’, were given out to those living with disabilities including mental health problems, acquired brain injuries and autistic spectrum disorders. Additional accolades were also received by various social initiatives and work placement providers.

Gemma Boardman, Service Manager at North West Community Services said: “We would like to thank the team at Sefton Park Hotel for showcasing the premiere Access Employment and Merseyside Outreach Service awards ceremony, and offering a warm reception. We would also like to give credit to the highly entertaining band, Hot Club of Knotty Ash, who certainly set the ambience.

“It was fantastic to be able to raise awareness and celebrate with many of the inspirational people we support in the local community – whilst praising numerous charities, support initiatives and employers including Asda, Home Bargains, Aintree Racecourse, Liverpool Citizens Advice Bureau and The Brink.

“As a result of its success, we hope that the event will become a highly anticipated annual occurrence.”

The Access Employment and Merseyside Outreach Service awards ceremony was set up to recognise and honour the individuals that have overcome their difficulties, as well as praising local organisations and businesses who have guided people in transforming their lives.

Chief Executive of Sefton Park Hotel Conor O’Donovan added: “We are delighted to have played host to such a meaningful and uplifting event. The team and I would like to once again sincerely congratulate the outstanding figures in society.”
