One’s To Watch: Eternum Joy

Four-piece Liverpool band Eternum Joy are alternative rock band from Liverpool who have been cultivating a loyal following on the local music scene.

Gigging regularly around Merseyside the band, who are signed to Golden Robot Records have played four headliners and sold each one out. The brainchild of frontman Stephen Abraham and lead guitarist T’kius Horsley, alongside drummer John Clare and bassist Abby McNeil, the band represent challenges kids in this generation have to overcome.

The band released their first single 17 in February 2022, a song trying to capture the feeling of being 17 through eye catching guitar riffs and raw powerful vocals.

Following this release, the band put out another single; Honeys Dead, which was met with the same grunge attitude and fits right into the new wave sound.

In terms of the future, Eternum Joy have been working on their own EP and in April 2023 they are releasing Prolong The Joy which has been heavily anticipated by fans in the Mersey delta. Teasing snippets from the EP on their YouTube, working on their own documentary which is following them on their recording process and showing the inner workings of a band making a record.

The first single from the EP is Hear Me Calling, with more announcements coming later in the year, Eternum Joy are ones to watch for a breakout year.

The band will be playing at the Jacaranda on 7 April, as support for Weekend Recovery. Tickets are available here.
