6 New Liverpool Restaurants To Get Excited About

We all know 2020 hasn’t gone as we would have expected but there’s still plenty to look forward to over the coming months with some new Liverpool restaurants opening soon. Check out the new additions below.

Bobo, Castle Street

Bobo is an Iberian style wine bar and cafe opening on Castle Street, which has become one of the city’s most popular dining and drinking spots. You can expect an all day drink and snack menu with Spanish and Portuguese influence. 

Maggie Fu, Hanover Street

Maggie Fu is one of the most popular restaurants on Smithdown Road, with queues of people trying to grab a table every day and night, so it’s no suprise that they have announced they will be opening a city centre restaurant on Hanover Street.

The Ivy, Water Street

The former Bank of Liverpool and Il Palazzo office building on Water Street are set to be transformed into Liverpool’s The Ivy bar and restaurant. So expect, all day dining menus focousing of traditional British dishes in a sophisticated venue.

New Liverpool Restaurants Lerpwl Royal Albert Dock

Having already established himself as one of the UK’s rising culinary stars, appearing on The Great British Menu twice and with an Acorn award under his belt, Ellis Barrie has earned a growing reputation for excellence since opening the Marram Grass with his brother Liam in 2009, and the talented pair are now fulfilling their ambition to return to their home city, at the world-famous Royal Albert Dock.

Lerpwl’s menus have been designed to be fluid, ever changing with the seasons, meaning dishes will always be fresh and at their best. There will be two menus, an A La Carte and a second relaxed menu depending on what experience the diner is looking for, whether it’s creative cocktails in Margot’s, kitchen side seating at the Oyster bar or an A La Carte tasting menu in the restaurant. Jollibee Liverpool

Jollibee is described as a joyous mashup of Western comfort food with a Southeast Asian twist. It’s Asia’s favourite fried chicken, founded in Manila in the Philippines and now here in Liverpool (Whitechapel), opening on 3rd September.

One of Chester’s favourite pizza restaurants, Dough Dough will soon be opening on Ranelagh Street outside Central station, in the former O2 shop. Not only are they known for their amazing handmade pizzas, their vegan pizzas are a big hit too!
