New Brighton Seaside Festival has announced a taste of what you can expect from their brand-new attraction for Spring 2017.

The three-day family event will take place over the Spring Bank Holiday (27-29 May). It will take over a huge space in front of Fort Perch Rock, New Brighton Beach, Marine Lake and Promenade in New Brighton.

The first large scale seaside festival of its kind in the area, the weekender is the brainchild of Liverpool event management company Orb Events; the team behind some of the City Region’s largest festivals including the award-winning Liverpool Loves,Liverpool Pride, and Farm Feast.

Promising a cocktail of live entertainment, amazing street food, chef demos, family activities and a host of seaside-themed attractions – this exciting addition to the region’s event calendar is not to be missed. The team have released just a small taster of what to expect from this years’ diverse programme.

Saturday will be sound tracked by everything from the brilliant shanty and folk trio, Button Street Badger Band to Liverpool group The Shipbuilders.  Performing on Sunday and fresh from her record deal with DECCA Records is alt-pop songstress Eleanor Nelly – whereas highlights for Monday’s Main Stage programme include a performance from the Sing Me Merseyside Choir and New Brighton favourite, the fantastic Marc Kenny.

Or head to the undercover seating area and take a break in the shade to sample some local craft beer or even dabble in a cocktail class or two.

For the young at heart, a full children’s activity programme will be taking place each day that includes a Vintage Funfair, Punch and Judy style puppet shows – and there’ll be lots of exciting workshops popular with the little ones by Junior Chef’s Academy.
