Running from 17th October to the 3rd November, Liverpool plays host to the Indika festival, curated by, for those who don’t know, the Milapfest organisation, which has, for over thirty years, championed Indian arts. Milapest is based in the Capstone Building within Liverpool Hope University, and both Milapest and Liverpool Hope collaborate in providing world class education, training and performance opportunities in the Indian Arts.

Indika is the curated European festival of celebration of this mission statement, so Liverpool venues such as The Leggate Theatre, FACT, LEAF and The Philharmonic Hall are hosting various events. These range from the British-Asian clarinettist Arun Ghosh playing at 24 Kitchen Street, to a Kids Concert at the Capstone Theatre, to the showing of the 2015 film Bairangi Bhaijaan at Picture House at FACT on Tuesday 23rd October. Indika presents the very finest of Indian cultural arts.
