Mellowtone and Liverpool Acoustic to launch Songwriters at the Lantern in September

Mellowtone and Liverpool Acoustic are teaming up to present a series of evenings with Liverpool-based songwriters, in the intimate surrounds of the Lantern Theatre Liverpool, nestled in the Baltic Triangle.
The event will be launched on Thursday 17th September 2015 at 8.00pm.

The first guest will be Paul Straws – playing the best from a back catalogue of a decade’s worth of material.  Lauded for his ‘greatsongwriting’ by BBC 6 Music’s Tom Robinson, and oft championed by Dave Monks (BBC Introducing) Paul is a well-known figure in Liverpool’s acoustic fraternity.

“After delighting with light, well-crafted mandolin and ukulele led folk pop, the local songsmith plays two filthy numbers straight from the oeuvre of Prince.” (Bido Lito – live review)

Support on the night is Gary Stewart, a Scottish singer/songwriter with tales of paranoia, love and prostitution, delivered with Celtic flair. And a Mellowtone event wouldn’t be complete without Beaten Tracks DJs!
