It’s back! The Liverpool Viva! Vegan Festival has returned for another year, with everything a current or aspiring vegan could ask for. The good news is that this time it’s even bigger. The event is now being held across two venues, the Friends Meeting House and the Bluecoat Chambers, both on School Lane. This means more stalls, more activities and more things to enjoy.

In terms of what’s on offer, take your pick. The event boasts a wide range of vegan food, everything from international dishes and hot snacks to takeaway food and desserts. What’s particularly special about this festival is that you have access to so many vegan products that are difficult if not impossible to find on the high street. Think vegan replacement eggs and non-dairy substitutes of well-known chocolate bars, just to name a few.

Although the food is probably what attracts most of the visitors, you shouldn’t forget about everything else that this event has to offer. Alongside the food you will also find a plethora of other vegan products, including cosmetics, clothing, books, bath bombs, bags, wallets, badges and even cuddly toys.

There are also a number of activities for people to attend. These include cookery demos and informative talks on topics such as nutrition, activism and representation.

Whether you’re vegan, vegetarian or just an open-minded carnivore, Viva! is a great day out, with lots of treats on offer.

The event is taking place on Saturday 12th August and entry is £3. (Free for under 16’s) For more information join the Facebook event page here
