Liverpool Sound City 2015; Preview

Liverpool Sound City is now just a few days away from it’s biggest line up to date at it’s brand new home at Bramley-Moore Dock. As well as big name headliners, The Vaccines, The Flaming Lips and Belle & Sebastian, the likes of Gaz Coombes, The Cribs, Everything Everything and The Thurston Moore Band add to the solid main stage names.

The Baltic Stage curated by EVOL promises to be a real highlight for festival goers with rising stars including Swans, F**ked Up, Peace, Yak, Slaves and Bad Breeding; bands who are having a big year and are all likely to be festival main stagers in the future.

There’s also plenty of home grown names to look forward to, most notably, Dave McCabe & The Ramifications; the former Zutons front man will be showcasing his new sound from The Baltic Stage. Another to look out for are the brilliant Serpent Power, the new project from Ian Skelly (The Coral) and Paul Molloy (The Zutons) hot on the heels of releasing their debut album they will be bringing psychedelic rock to The Atlantic Stage.

Liverpool heavyweights Broken Men and Tea Street Band will play The Cargo Stage alongside Aquilo, George The Poet, Findlay and Tei Shi who are all set for a huge 2015. Check out the official festival site map below;

The late night warehouse parties also promise a wild time with the unpredictable Fat White Family, DJ Evian Christ and drum and base collective Roni Size Reprazent.

This year’s new set up should also allow for more people to access the bands they want to see and avoid the disappointment of not being able to access venues that were at full capacity when the festival was based in the city centre’s venues and bars.
