Liverpool ONE To Host A Tribute to Frank McFarlane In Honour of Beloved Tickle the Ivories Performer

This Thursday (11 August), Liverpool ONE is hosting a special fundraiser, A Tribute to Frank McFarlane, in memory of the much-loved Tickle the Ivories performer who sadly passed away in February.

Honouring Frank and his love for both Tickle the Ivories and Liverpool-based charity Bradbury Fields, the fundraiser will see performers take to the keys from 10am – 7pm at Sugar House Steps where all busking proceeds will go to the charity.

To coincide with the tribute event, a specially designed piano by Toucan Tango will be unveiled in honour of Frank. The bespoke piano features elements of Frank’s life, including his passion for music and sports.

Frank, who was blind, was Chairman of Bradbury Fields and performed annual pianothons to drive donations to the sensory loss charity. His wife, Julia, and the team from Bradbury Fields will be there on the day as visitors are encouraged to make donations to Bradbury Fields and pay respects to the Tickle legend who was an integral part of the festival for more than 10 years.
