Liverpool Digital Music Festival Rise: 27 – 28 February 2021 Looking For Musicians Aged 18-24

Liverpool Digital Music Festival Rise will take place on the 27 and 28 February 2021. The online ‘from home’ digital music festival will showcase the best rising talent from the Liverpool City Region aged 18 to 24.

In response to the effect of Covid-19 on the Liverpool music scene, the event offers a platform for young artists to unite as part of the online music festival to access new audiences and develop their professional skills and practice.

Artists can apply to play at the festival via the website (www.ldmfestival.co.uk) from 27 January 2021. Applications for entry will close at midnight on the 5 February 2021 and decisions will be communicated on the 8 February.

10 acts will be selected, and they will then have until the 17 February to film, record and submit their performance videos for the festival. Artists should not apply if self-recording a performance remotely under Covid-secure conditions is not possible.

In partnership with Merseyside Arts Foundation, artists selected for performance at the festival will also benefit from a small financial investment in their creative and professional development to the value of £150 per act. This financial support has been made possible with the support of The National Lottery Community Fund.
