Las Iguanas Summer Menu Review

On a gloomy Saturday afternoon we decided to brighten things up with a trip to Las Iguanas Liverpool ONE to try out their new Summer menu. There are 17 exciting new dishes alongside plenty of Las Iguanas favourites, so obviously (unfortunately) we wouldn’t have the capacity to try everything on the new menu but we got a taste of what you can expect!

To begin with we ordered some mocktails – there’s a huge selection cocktails and mocktails that are 2 for 1 all day everyday – as I wanted to show some consideration for my dining partner who was driving. The Apple Mojo-Less (Mint, lime, apple and soda) were mojito style and tasted just as good as the real thing. But it wasn’t long until I succumbed to an alcoholic drink, after all we were here to give you a detailed review, it’s a tough job but someone’s got to do it. If you can’t decide which cocktail to order then we recommend the Thrilla In Vanilla (Absolut Vanilla Vodka, grapefruit, pineapple, lemon and vanilla), t was nothing short of absolutely delightful.

To start we ordered the Nacho’s because who doesn’t love nachos? The portion size was great as a starter you don’t want something massive that you feel guilty for only eating half of or eating too much and not being able to finish your main and Las Iguanas got it spot on.

Las Iguanas Ribs

For the main event we ordered the Havana Club & Jerk BBQ Pork Ribs and the Chicken Enchilda. The whole rack of pork ribs were fall-off-the-bone amazing. Covered in a sticky rum sauce which was just delicious and served with a generous portion of curly fries it was simple food done well. The Chicken Enchilada was equally good, the spicy chicken, pepper, onion & cheese with smoky chipotle sauce accompanied by spring onion rice was full of flavour.

There was no room for dessert today but we’ll be back to sample more food and definitely more of the amazing cocktails soon.
