Jazz Saturdays All The Way To Xmas Eve At Ma Boyle’s

Saturdays of late have seen the intimate Ma Boyle’s partying loud to the strains of all things jazz, tucked away down the narrow Tower Gardens street.

The historic hideaway has so far hosted a series of weekend shows from eclectic music masters Parrjazz, bringing in local and far-flung sounds to Liverpool on Saturday evenings. Having live music back at the venue has been particularly special for Iain Hoskins, Ma Boyle’s owner, and having people back together to dance and have lots of fun.

“We really love what the Parrjazz guys do and it fits so well at Ma Boyle’s,” Iain says. “The reception has been brilliant each and every time, we’ve had some fantastic music from all corners of the jazz world from Dean Masser Duo and Neil Yates to truly sublime sounds from Baiana. I for one and I know so many more people have missed music in venues and at Ma’s jazz works so well. We have been booked up for months since this started up again and the last trio of shows are going to help us see out December in fine style.”

There are three final dates of the year to savour – this Saturday with Frank Griffith, Saturday 18 with Blind Monk and finally Ma Boyle’s Xmas Eve Parrjazz special with Rob Stringer.

It’s free entry for all Jazz Saturday shows which start from 8.30pm. Reservations via www.maboyles.com
