Holy Drone Release Anticipated New Single ‘Fibres’

Dreampop quintet Holy Drones have released their anticipated new single Fibres. Hailing from Warrington, the group provide a lesson in how to create a delicious wall of hazy sound with this track.

Having already released music in 2019, this is their first release of 2020 and marks a new phase for the band who have already received radio play from BBC Introducing and Amazing Radio. Through Fibres they showcase the most gentle and soul bearing vocals, sitting gently on top of the strong lead guitar. From start to finish this track is a warm, sunny, fuzzy hug which draws you in and leaves you wanting more. The track was written during lockdown by the band and according to them, it came together fairly quickly.

The whole track is effortless and hypnotic. The simple instrumentation and production is perfect for its genre and again, is a true masterclass on writing a trascendental piece of music. The opening line of the song ‘you are my sunshine, safe in my hands’ makes you feel as if the band are singing to you and only you. Strong drum backing and rhythm guitar keep the song moving and make you want to dance along. It truly is a beautiful track from start to finish.

I cannot wait to hear more from these guys, but for now, I’m going to listen to their entire back catalogue with a nice glass of wine!
