Freeze & mUmU Present: ’48 Hours in Liverpool’ – August Bank Holiday Weekend

Two of Liverpool’s leading underground club nights, Freeze and mUmU, have joined forces for a special one-off collaboration across the August bank holiday weekend.

Taking place at the fabled Bombed Out Church by day, and the Baltic Triangle’s New Bird Warehouse by night, 48 Hours In Liverpool is a thrilling pure distillation of electronic music talent set over two pulsating days, sound-tracked by a selection of incredible headline guests and residents.

Spanish icon and Freeze favourite Paco Osuna headlines on Saturday 29th August, the Mindshake founder one of the world’s best exponents of techno music, with over 20 years of experience creating a true master behind the decks and in the studio. With 5 studio albums behind him, Gregor Thresher remains at the pinnacle of electronic music, the German spinner and producer a long-standing champion of the underground. Glaswegian Gary Beck is one of the scene’s brightest stars, with a slew of releases on Drumcode, Cocoon and Saved, and fellow Scotsman Theo Kottis has been making waves since his first two EPs, Waiting Game and Turning Heads, recently came out. mUmU’s resident Lee Rands and Freeze’s Jemmy finish the billing for Saturday, with a special guest to be announced.

Sunday sees the Berlin-based Tale Of Us make their debut. Together they share a sonic vision that pulls together elements of house and techno with influences from pop, nu-disco and even rock music do sublime dance floor effect. They are joined by Black Coffee, one of the most influential African artists in the world, an award-winning house music DJ who is also by turns a singer-songwriter, record producer, director, fashion designer and entrepreneur. Mind Against are an Italian duo who weave house and techno together, fresh from the success of their collaboration with Locked Groove on Hotflush Recordings, Ukranian DJ Nastia brings twilight techno, melancholic minimal and stripped-down ghetto funk to the party, and the crate-digging Rossko, one of Fuse’s famed London residents, also stars. Once more Lee Rands and Jemmy complete the billing for 48 Hours in Liverpool’s second show.
