Fiesta of Fire Launch Weekend At The Dock A Roaring Success

On Saturday 4 & Sunday 5 February, visitors to Royal Albert Dock Liverpool enjoyed a hugely successful launch weekend of the dock’s brand new campaign Fiesta of Fire. Entertaining families and friends from both the local area and further a-field, the launch weekend included a roaming giant fire-breathing dragon and performances from Bring The Fire Project, who lit up the dock with a thrilling spectacle of fire and light.

Bessie, the 3-meter high dragon puppet who was available to see on the Saturday, was led around the dock by two sinister hooded stewards who signalled for the dragon to breathe fire up into the sky, delighting children and passersby. Whilst four dazzling fire performances took place around the dock which included captivating choreographed routines of flaming sword fights, huge martial arts style rope darts, fire juggling and much more.
